Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Can I make ACME 3-Columns or put sidebar on the left?

In Version 1.2 this involves customization we don’t currently offer.  In our next version we may add additional layouts.  We’re all about keeping it simple for now.

2. Do you have a magazine layout?

No, but we may add one in the next version

3. Can I change the color of the border and the main navbar background?

Yes, just look in Appearance > Editor > style.css   You’ll see this code is commented.  You can either change the CSS to your color or you can copy and paste the code into our custom CSS box in ACME Settings.

4. What size logo can I upload?

We recommend 400px x 75px

5.  I want to change some CSS code but I don’t see it in your style.css file?

ACME is a child theme of Twenty Ten.  Which means that our style.css file overrides Twenty Ten’s but also uses a lot of it’s core code.  You can find all the CSS in Twenty Ten’s stylesheet and move it into our custom css box for editing.

6.  Can I Flip sites I create with ACME Theme?

When you purchase ACME you have an unlimited license to use on sites you personally own.  If you flip a site, you or the new owner needs to buy a license to use ACME.    If you are an active member of the ACME Traffic Club, we waive this requirement and you can pass ACME rights on sites you sell.

7.  Do you have a Single License price?

Yes, if you only wish to use ACME on one domain the price is just $17.  Order here

8.  Can I remove the dates from the Theme?

We plan on making this an option in the next version, but for now you’ll need to follow our instructions here.

  1. Would I be able to change the top navigational bar that is in the header? I have used both the twenty-ten and twenty-eleven theme but have been unable to figure out how to change the items in the nav bar.

  2. The ACME theme looks great – congrats – already purchased.

I’ve just been playing around with Twenty Ten over the last few weeks and ACME solves a few problems I was going to try to fix myself.

One missing component I feel is a Search Bar across the main container which you could use for Google AdSense Search. I find the larger search bar across the top of the main content works really well.

Is the new “wider” RHS sidebar optimal for 300 width AdSense (etc) units, or just up to 250?

    Great work.

    Michael.

Thanks, you can add the google search code to the header right widget that might be interesting and you can also use a widget in top right.

There are tutorials online about how to add the search box to the main navbar but since Google changed their search box code that might not look as great.

Yes, you can use 300 width google ads in sidebar as well.

    Nice template! Great work!
Will the purchase include updates in the future too? Im missing some of the options which you already mentioned above.

Nice theme! I tried several social bookmarking plugins which increased page load time to an unacceptable level. How do I add a widget to the sidebar that will allow social bookmarking on each page instead at the bottom of each post?
